Why a battery

Your sunshine, on at night

  • Power after dark

Run your evenings on stored sunshine.

  • Backup in blackouts

Lights, fridge and wifi stay on.

  • Incentive applied

Roughly 30% off a typical battery in 2026.

  • Works with your solar

New or existing systems, most brands.

2026 battery incentive

Roughly 30% off, taken off your quote

  • 6.8 STCs per kWh

For the first 14 kWh, installs finished by 31 Dec 2026.

  • ~30% off

A typical home battery, taken off your quote.

  • 1 Jan 2027

The rate steps down. Lower again each year after.

Example: a 13.5 kWh battery earns about 91 certificates, roughly $3,580 off.

Certificate prices move with the market; your quote shows the exact amount. The battery must be able to join a virtual power plant, but joining is optional. There is no South Australian state battery rebate right now.

FAQ

Common questions

Can't see yours? Call us. A real person answers.

  • Yes. The federal incentive takes roughly 30% off a typical home battery installed by 31 December 2026, and drops on 1 January 2027. We claim it for you and take it off the quote.

  • Usually, yes. We check your inverter and fit a battery that works with it, even on older systems.

  • Yes, when it is set up for backup. We wire your lights, fridge and wifi to switch over on their own.

  • No. The battery must be able to join one to get the incentive, but signing up is your choice.

  • Most carry a 10-year warranty and are built to last well beyond it.
